I think Johnson would be a good choice.
Then maybe the Football School in Rawlee could beat the Basketball School in Chapel Hill. :D

I think PJ would be a better hire than Carolina's Hire of Butch Davis...he knows how to win, and teams have been successful everywhere he has gone as a coordinator and HC.

He'd also irritate everyone else in the conference like he did at Statesboro.
That could be fun.

This years Naval Academy senior class is the first one EVER to go 8-0 against the other two service academies in their four years of school.
Johnson is the real deal. I'd hate to see him leave the USNA, but I don't expect him to pass up a good payday much longer.

I really hope he stays at Navy. It would be sad to see him go, but Navy is offering him a contract extension where he would get paid over $1 million per year.

He's my favorite of the candidates that have been mentioned before. Unless somebody else more qualified comes along, I hope he gets the job. Maybe the pack can find another Philip Rivers! (I wish!)

Fowler has stated that he wants to end the search by the end of the week, so it looks like Johnson is the man

NC State has cancelled their meeting with Jimbo Fisher, per David Glenn, so it looks like Johnson is the man

If Navy loses him they are going to have some very big shoes to fill. I wonder who the list of candidates for the Navy job is going to be. :(

I probably hate Boston College even more than the average Michigan fan hates Ohio State but I have to say.....
This is great! This totally reminds me of my old roommate who couldn't wait to break up with his girlfriend.... unfortunately for him, she cut the cord first. He wanted her gone in a bad way, but Lord was there great drama to be seen when she was the catalyst of the schism
Same thing's going to happen with Tom O'Brien. Lord knows BC(U) fans thought they deserved to a better coach, after all, they are BC(U). Now we'll really see what they're entitled to....
HAHAHAHAH...this really is fantabulous!!!!

I think the Wolfpack should've hired the NECN Weather Team to be their coach. After all, they've got experience you can trust.

NC St has now exchanged a clown for a ginger who looks like Opie.
From mediocrity to mediocrity. Some programs will never excel.....

This is great news! Navy steered itself out of that disaster, but I am sure that NC State won't be the last program to come try to steal him.:rotateh:

Was hoping Johnson got the job, is BC really that bad of a program or that cheap of a school when they lose their FB coach to NCST?

Johnson will be gone, he is at the top of everyone's list
BTW, I think this is really gonna hurt BC. Losing your coach to a team in the same conference, that shows just how cheap your school is.

"But O'Brien, 58, had grown frustrated in recent seasons because the Eagles could not attract much fan support in a city preoccupied by its professional sports teams. In each of the last two seasons, after the Eagles left the Big East Conference for the ACC, they were passed over in the ACC's bowl pecking order because of the school's inability to sell tickets for bowl games."

It'll help UD's chances against Navy a lot in the future if Johnson goes elsewhere.

Not getting those bowl games hurts his resume, I can see where he's coming from
Did anyone really notice that BC was 9-3 over the last 3 seasons?

Isn't he doubling his salary by moving? Yeah, I'd say that's a step up. There is good football to be played in the Carolinas... I think in the next 5 years you will see proof of that.

Word is, its gonna be 500K more
If he and Butch can both be successful, that will be fun to watch
