This has already been done before. But what is the best stadium/prettiest stadium in FCS? Please post pictures, too. I'm curious to see them. I know App State and UNI have nice ones. :hurray:

Maybe you need to clarify this--best stadium when full, best by design, best by access?
Example: The Tub is great when it's full, but no one's confusing its design with Princeton Stadium.

The Yale bowl is pretty, I like it. Griz is probably top-notch from what I've seen/heard based on size, design, etc. KBS at App isn't designed in such a way that it will be really loud (to my knowledge), but the mountains around help cause an echo. It's not the prettiest either. I wish they'd make it more symmetric. In due time, they will.

THe only thing I don't like about Kidd Brewer is if you are fat you will have to stop and take a break when walking up the steep hill on the visiting side or up the hill on the home side once you walk in. I saw plenty of people on both sides huffing and puffing.xlolx The person I was with had to stop. He asked me to wait up and I said no thanks you can meet me at the seats.

For all of you out there experiencing angst over the reality that your stadium is NOT as good as WA-Griz, the Tub, the Yale Bowl, Harvard Stadium, ..... here is a link that is sure to pump you up:
http://www.unhwildcats.com/index.cfm?id=0E5F015B-BA5E-D4B9-B02F589761023A47
Simply scroll down to the 7th facility listed, "venerable" (make that decrepit) Cowell Stadium and you will instantly feel better about yourself, your team, and your school.
If you want to see how those in New Hampshire actually feel about Cowell, here's a link to a scathing column from the Manchester Union Leader:

See, now don't you all feel better?
Watch out, though, when UNH AD Marty Scarano finally gets a heavy hitter (can you say, Verizon?) to FINALLY step up and fork over the cash for a facility!

believe me i have been to UC davis. their field is leaps and bounds ahead of the UNH facility. in fact if you guys dont want it we should see if we can somehow bring it on over to UNH. trust me when i say it doesnt get much worse than old cowel. seeing all these other stadiums makes me sick. for a wile at least URI was bad with us but then they whent and got a whole new side of bleachers and are doing ok for themselves. we are now oficialy left as bottom feeders. although they did put in some endzone bleachers for this season. could anyone imagine 13,000 cramed into that little place durring the JMU game?

My favorites (without fans) are Harvard, Yale, Palmer (Princeton's prior stadium), Franklin Field (Penn) and Montana--in that order. Have not been to YSU, Delaware or Princeton's new stadium--or any of the other good ones. With fans, Montana and Harvard.

5. Schoellkopf Field
6. Wien Stadium aka Baker Field
7. Brown Stadium

Here's how I would rank the eight Ivy stadiums...and I've been to all of them....
1. Princeton Stadium - PU's former stadium, Palmer, was the worst in the Ivy. Now they have the best.
2. Yale Bowl - The recent renovations have given the Bowl a much needed facelift. The Bowl looks fantastic!
3. Harvard Stadium - Solid structure and great looking stadium.
4. Franklin Field - Penn has done a great job in keeping this 111 year old stadium in terrific shape.
5. Lawrence A. Wein Stadium - The best press box in the Ivy. Good place to see a game too.
6. Schoellkopf Field - Gotta love the Crescent!
7. Brown Stadium - Nice stadium, but I'm not a fan of the small visitors side.
8. Memorial Field - Even with the recent renovations, Dartmouth remains to have the worst stadium in the league.

Here is a newer aerial shot (2001 as opposed to the old 1995 aerial shot) of Cowboy Stadium. It has the newer pressbox in it but doesn't have the new scoreboard.

You know, I've never understood why the athletic department put that pic of Toomey on the site. Its the visitor side...doesnt show the press box or endzone seats...no yardage lines or midfield logo. And, there is no game going on! It didnt help Toomey's image.
There have to be some Ags on here with a good gameday pic of the Toom. Its rather pretty on gameday.
