What is wrong with them this season?

5 losses when leading in the 4th quarter.

And to think, this was the team most thought had all the ingredients to make it to the Super Bowl this year. I dont know what happened to em...2 solid runningbacks, 3 good receivers, and a pretty decent defense.

I thought Delhomme was turning it around last night, but two picks in the second half is not acceptable. I'm usually not too hard on the guy, but either the play-calls or his decision-making are making this team a stinker. They have the talent, as everyone knows, but are going nowhere with it. On the last panther play last night, I am very confused as to why they didn't run the ball with Williams just to avoid the exact thing that happened. I was frustrated, but they deserved to lose that game. Hopefully they can pull it together and make the playoffs.

I didn't see the second half last night, but I did watch last week and the problem then was the O-Line. Jake had less than 2 seconds before contact to throw the ball and was constantly throwing from his back foot. The starting center and left guard both went down in the season opener, leaving the line in shambles. It has also affected their running game, as there have been plenty of tackles for loss or no gain.

I was happy. The Eagles won! Should set up a interesting December for the wild card. GO BIRDS!

I don't blame the loss last night on Delhomme. On the final interception Keyshawn just stopped running towards the coner. He was jammed a little but he still could of waited a little before jumping for it. Why we didn't run it at that point after our run game was working? I don't know. We had time outs to spare too. Looking bleak for the playoffs

I voted: Other (play calling has been shotty)

This season has been abyssmal. From Jake screwing things up and throwing interceptions to our supposedly stellar defense who let Garcia throw for over 300 yards.

Don't even get me started on the playcalling from Dan Henning. Grrrrr. :p

My sister's boyfriend has season tickets and has invited me down to catch a game. Supposing the only way I'd go is to wear a bag over my head kind of like Chicken Man's avatar. :bawling: xlolx

And that was NOT pass interference on the last intercept.

Not a Panther fan, but stuck with them every week, so I can say that it's they don't believe they're going to win down the stretch.

Now there is a report saying that Delhomme will most likely not play against the Giants.

problem: offensive coordinator fire that jackass....i went to the rams game (one of our good games where we shut them out) and even then the play-calling was horrendous...they would go long on 3rd and 1...and on 3rd and 7 they would run...what a waste of talent

Yeah, so, the Panthers lost again today. I can't think of words bad enough to describe how I feel about this. :bang:

Very questionable offensive playcalling, IMHO.

That means they're pretty much done for the year. More than likely the Giants and either the Eagles or the Falcons will grab the wildcards.

I voted other, just because the Panthers suck all-around.

Defense is the problem.

Well, after today I'm not sure you could say it's Delhomme... :read:

I think its the offensive coordinator. You can't blame bad play calling on Jake.

The coaching staff seems to need a makeover. I think they are loyal to players who don't deserve to be starting. Also the playcalling is atrocious. The playbooks in Tecmo Bowl were more complex than Carolina's. How does DeAngelo Williams not get more than 2 carries a week after he gains 100 yards? The defense is overrated however the offense puts them in some bad spots. And when they do get a lead they play not to lose instead of trying to step on the opponents' throats. Dave Wannestedt used to coach like that for the Dolphins and it drove me absolutely insane. You can't lose 5 games in the 4th quarter without a lot of the blame falling on the coaches.

As for Delhomme? He's an average QB. You can win a Super Bowl with him but you can't ask him to put the team on his back to get there. When he presses he makes dumb throws.

Okay, I voted other...
I say the offensive line. We don't pick up the blitz well at all. If any team playing them would blitz on 50% of the plays, the Panthers probably wouldn't get a 1st down. I am a diehard Panthers fan (panted my den panther blue, with black trim), but we can't open holes consistently and we allow to many sacks (especially in critical times.)
I probably could have been convinced of Offensive coaching, but I still think the line needs help.
