I'm curious on how Brandon Landers ended up as 2nd team All-SWAC...

Also glad to see the SWAC put out their all-conference team after all regular season games came to an end. Seems like last year, the all-SWAC team came out with a week left...

How in the Hell Breck Achley isn't first team punter. He lead 1-aa in punting. The guy from AAMU was last in the conference in punting.: smh : : smh :

Jimmy Oliver of JSU.

Oliver is pretty good. It seems like team success had an influence in the vote there.

I agree on the Southern punter. He belongs on the 1st team.

How so? GSU 3-6 conference, 3-8 overall. JSU 5-4 conference, 6-5 overall.

See the posts about Oliver...

Amazing that a team with an ongoing QB controversy throughout the season is able to put their QB on the 2nd team...

Nick Deriso even raised the question the other day...

M. Mallett the RB from UAPB should have won SWAC POTY in 2006, But UAPB submitted the QB's name instead. With a better record the ICON's Clyde Edwards would be SWAC POTY. Oliver is a decent QB for Jackson, he runs in circles and thows lots of int's. He is a lot better runner than he is a passer. Nick Deriso didn't raise a guestion to weather Brandon Landers should be an all conference selection. Coaches and SID's who see these players made the selection, not some homer Sports Editor that likes Stevie Wonder. It is obvious that the coaches and SID's were hittin the sauce when they made these selections.

Oh so long for this night I prayed
That a star would guide you my way
To share with me this special day
Where a ribbon's in the sky for our love
