The nationwide “Get in the Game, Save a Life” campaign started in 2009 by Villanova head football coach Andy Talley in partnership with the National Marrow Donor Program has grown to include more than 80 college football programs and has resulted in more than 200 matches being identified for patients with life-threatening illnesses. Talley has been leading the charge to find potential bone marrow donors for more than 20 years but the past month has been a particularly rewarding one for him. A pair of seniors on the current Wildcats roster, offensive lineman Jake Prus and wide receiver Jacob Gribb, recently made donations of peripheral blood stem cells to patients in need within two weeks of each other.
