The black player claimed the white player was using racist language toward him. So ripping his helmet off and smashing his head with it are acceptable.

He wasnt ejected from the game either. Those refs need to be removed from the game on a permanent basis.

Yep - It's a good thing that #1 grabbed his facemask and ripped his helmet off because, if you look very closely, you can read #73's lips. Shocking! Completely within his rights for #1 to assault another individual with a deadly weapon (I heard #73 had a well-deserved gash that required 10 stitches to close from this warranted retribution) for using inappropriate language during a football game. There's just no place for any type of name-calling on the field of battle! If #1 had killed the other player, which is entirely possible, everyone would, no doubt, see that as justifiable homicide. I'm assuming #73 was, at least, penalized for Unsportsmanlike Conduct and ejected from the game. Clean it up men! This rampant use of racist language during games is casting a bad light on the game of football!

I'm not sure if these posts are some kind of poor attempt at trolling? Simply enough this is an obvious case of assault which should be prosecuted, and #1 should never be allowed to play another down at any level. Any other normal consequences of an assault on school grounds should also be applied. (i.e. suspension or expulsion) No need to bring any of this other nonsense into it.
