No great games in the big sky this week, I think NAU at Montana only really interesting matchup. Is Montana tail spinning or can they right the ship, is NAU a serious contender?

Heck, if we're going to be nominating this stuff, I'll throw out Lehigh at Princeton. Tigers blew out Lafayette and may be a real challenger for the Ivy title. Lehigh coming off big win over Penn. Both programs have had a decent, regular short term rivalry over the past 20 years. Plus Princeton Stadium is the best FCS venue in the country, of course, imo. (;-)

I live in Richmond, VA and ODU's impressive, major market TV schedule has been as follows:
at Eastern Michigan - No TV
Norfolk State - MyTV Richmond, a local Fox subchannel that no one knows about.
North Carolina State - MyTV Richmond
Appalachian State - MyTV Richmond

Four games, three on an obscure local subchannel that is even more unknown than the channels televising CAA football games and then one wasn't even picked up on TV. You host your first Big Boy football school and no meaningful channel picks it up.

Wow... that's so big time I might vomit.

people..... NO NO NO NO NO on SBU-W&M..... NOOOOO

why?

because the week after, it's JMU vs. SBU. that could potentially be the #1 offense in FCS vs. the #1 defense, and we know a school is unlikely to be GOTW 2 weeks in a row. possible, but highly unlikely.

I second Liberty/SIU

Heck, Ill nominate JSU v UT Martin. This week is lacking for good games.

Seconded. I wouldn't have thought this game was a contender, until I saw the other nominees. UT-Martin should be among the tougher remaining OVC foes for Jax State, but I'd have thought there'd be more meetings of ranked squads going on somewhere. (I think Montana-Cal Poly is an easy choice, though.)

The week after is also the Dakota Marker game between NDSU and SDSU who will be two top ten teams.

Not unless you get ESPNU. I don't. I was speculating on how good an FCS match up that would be though. SoCon vs CAA, etc. Too bad, but the world moves on. Still going to enjoy the game on the radio. :) Best of luck for the rest of your season.

And yet, on another thread you seem to lament staying where you are.

"Basically, we're led by risk averse "leaders" and our vp of finance is the true leader of our school. They've completely botched many opportunities to move to fbs by overanalyzing and looking for the non-existent perfect scenario."

Wanting to advance and laughing at a pathetic TV package of supposed big boy teams are two completely different things. Good try though.

Yet you want to join the supposed big boy teams, right? Do you think that JMU could do better in a TV package?

Given the fact that local cusa coverage appears to be an afterthought as of today, no we wouldn't do better. We're currently doing better with our nbcsn deal and regional networks. At least those networks are more visible and not exclusive to one individual market.

It's definitely a mixed blessing moving into the lower tier of FBS. I'm still waiting on the blessing part. xthumbsupx
