We broke the home record set last home coming of 10,19;. Next week we have family weekend which is already SRO and then we have Homecoming after that. We should have some big attendance games the next two weeks and honestly we can't hold more than 10,500 or 11,000 until the stadium expansion gets underway

2,863 at Georgetown to see Dartmouth's win
There were a lot more outside MSF. Georgetown used to be pretty permissive about "standing room" and letting people just come in around halftime. For whatever reason, they had extra security this time at the gate and around the stands. Not sure if there was an issue last year, or they were expecting trouble from Dartmouth fans or what...

My brother actually talked briefly at halftime with Pastorini when he went for a bathroom break. (Interestingly, Pastorini was the one who initiated the conversation, saying he saw him at the Penn/Lehigh game. Ironically, I saw Pastorini a couple sections away from us at the Princeton/Lafayette game - he sat maybe 30 feet from us at Penn/Lehigh - and said something to my brother about that during the 1st half.) According to my brother, Pastorini lives in the Reading area and came to the games because he could see two of them in one day. Pastorini also intends to attend both the Lehigh and Lafayette games two other times this season (I'd guess the two games on 10/3 are one of those times; the games that day have the same start times as yesterday's games.)
I suspect there are a decent number of people who attend the Lehigh Valley Division I-AA/FCS doubleheaders when Lehigh plays at 12:30 PM and Lafayette plays at 6 PM.

A moribund team. Plus a 6PM start with a lot of the parents taking their kids out to dinner then de-pard-ing for home after dinner. Once again, I hate "attendance" that isn't turnstile clicks but tickets sold. They ARE two different things.

What are you talking about? Breaking 9k is a solid attendance number, even if it was parents weekend.
Maybe Lehigh should be worried about drawing more than 6,800 at your home opener. Lafayette by the way had about 1k more in the stands for ours 2 weeks ago. Also the max attendance at Goodman last year was 9,300 for the Fordham game.

Yeah....it did happen twice last year at 10,100.....
Then there was games just over 5K

I don't see any games at 10k before last year, so, at least they are trending the right direction.

So, there is a belief that CCU will have no issue drawing 20k in 2 years, when they've had crowds of 3k and 5k in the last two seasons?
Even with the small stadium CCU isn't averaging 100%
To put it in perspective it's like me believing UNI could build a 30k seat stadium and fill it based on averaging ~14k in a 16k stadium.

I think we will see a nice uptick in attendance as the games become more exciting, we have a better fan experience in the stadium and we get a larger visiting crowd than 2-300. That doesn't just mean better opponents. It means a bigger game day budget with more pre-game activities, more advertising, more fan involvement/cheering/yelling, better audio and video displays, better marching band, pyrotechnics during the game, building traditions, etc. I don't know if we start seeing capacity crowds for another 3-5 years after the addition is complete, but I do think we will get there. Most people set their attendance records on nights with big events like Homecoming or Family Weekend. This week was neither and ticket sales were weak heading into the start of last week. We had a huge demand for student tickets and a large walk-up crowd that pushed out somewhere near 5000 tickets in 10 days including students. We also had a lot of first time fans that talked about how much they enjoyed it afterwards. We are steadily building our fan base and starting to see a lot of excitement around the community about the team and the school.

You keep referencing 3K and 5K. Those 2 games were the first round of the playoffs the Saturday after Thanksgiving with very few students in town. That weekend is sparsely attended by pretty much everyone not named NDSU, Montana and maybe a of couple others.
The fact is, 7100 is the smallest home crowd of any regular season game in the last couple of years. And the norm is more in the 8,500-10,000 range. I won't dare dispute that this is certainly still a far cry from 20K, but to keep harping on those 3K and 5K figures just isn't telling the whole story.
