I don't think either of those two will challenge for the 1AA playoffs... :p

... as football teams quietly move out of the a-10, the basketball teams "are a comin' ". Clearly a move to force additional NCAA selections, as the A-10 already did in football. I hope they (the NCAA) does not fall for it. I also do not think the conference will be 14-teams very much longer.

I still think the A-10 should try to keep football.

Maine

add Duquesne
add LaSalle
add Fordham, they would have to add scholarships, and if they didn't kicked them out and they can become a full member in the PL

And in the furure have North Carolina at Charlotte and Saint Louis add football. This way we add a new Conference CAA, and we keep the A-10. Just my opinion.

Please? Pretty please? Now I'm hoping for the A-10 to do just that...

The following is a much more likely football alliance in the future than that ghastly list you provided.....

Maine
UNH
UMass
URI
Albany
Stony Brook

Probably won't happen, but much more realistic.

I like Fordham there a good team, but, there a better fit for the PL than the A-10.

"ghastly List" Let me educate you my son, Duquesne, and LaSalle are already members of the A-10, so it would be MORE "realistic" for them to join the A-10 football conference than Albany or Stony Brook. And you could add Dayton to the A-10 football list too.

A-10 Conference if we still had football :(

Fordham, if they add scholarships
North Carolina at Charlotte and Saint Louis would have to add football.

FAR more realistic

The football A-10 has little if anything to do with the rest of the A-10. The addition of these two schools was related to the olympic sports of the A-10, and not the football side of things. It's not really applicable to this message board to be honest....

Richmond's an A-10 member for all other sports, so if you're talking about reforming the A-10 conference for football, of course UR would be included. On the other hand, the Spiders are going to stick with W&M and go where they go, which now means the CAA for football. Although I'd imagine it'd be an interesting situation (assuming the A-10 were reformed) if they were A-10 for all sports except football, where they were a member of a conference they (apparently) had a bad break from several years ago.

Keep an eye on Fordham basketball this year. The Rams are at least NIT bound this year, and the program is on the ascent.
