Fargo Bison, i didnt see the YSU RMU game actually listed on ESPNs college extra grouping. Are you sure this game will be covered on it?

FWIW, all Lafayette games televised by the Lafayette Sports Network (i.e. all of their home games and many of their nearby road games) are shown on RCN Cable Channel 4 in eastern PA and (I think) parts of NJ and WBPH Channel 60 in Bethlehem as well as ESPN3. (ESPN simply streams the Lafayette broadcast.)

Just out of curiosity .. why doesn't ESPN3 show more FCS games? I know there's a considerable selection there, but .. there could be more! the internet is infinite! is it TV rights or something? like if it's on TV elsewhere ESPN3 can't show it?

i've accepted the fact that FCS will never be big on actual television. The internet seems good, and a big place like espn3 could be a big aggregator of games.

I think it's a combination of media rights and ESPN wanting to justify the production costs of broadcasting Fcs games.
The CAA has a media deal with nbcsn and their regional networks. ESPN doesn't like that.
Additionally, they still have to convince advertisers to give them money for their espn3 broadcasts and they'd want proof that considerable audiences are actually watching any given Fcs conferences games.
ESPN won't air espn3 Fcs games if they have a risk of losing money.
