10-10 half. Defenses playing well. Jacksonville State has a couple big runs from Pope to set up their scores. Chattanooga had a nice opening drive and a big punt return to set up theirs. Jacksonville State will get the ball first.

Terrible game management by Coach Huesman. He should have punted both times he went for it on 4th down at midfield in the 4th QTR and went for it on 4th and 5 at 1:49.

I don't know what game you watched but JSU's dline was pretty good.

This has been one game 2 years in a row that the stats are meaningless. Pretty much came down to one 4th down play. We got a lot of work to do if we even think we can even win The SoCon. JSU brought in one transfer after another on the D-Line. The transfer route seems to work for them. JSU just played better tonight.

Just got home from Chattown. We had a great time, it was a great atmosphere for a college football game. Jax State has a lot of work to do, but I think we looked good for an opening weekend. Very glad to see they didn't fold after the fumble return.

I liked the pregame tribute to the Marines that were killed. One of them was the son of a former Marching Southerner.

That makes 8 wins for Jacksonville State over Chatty in the last 10 years , the last three by three points each. Maybe Jax State has their number. UTC is a good football team and should do well in the Southern Conference.

Jacksonville State has a dominant d line. No doubt about it. I think the only big difference in the game was Pope is more explosive than any of chattanoogas running backs. I knew their D was good. You would think our oline would be up for the challenge. I also have to admit that when Huesmans line gets whipped he is pretty bad.

That is in my top five list of questions still remaining. I also want to know why he didn't keep trying to burn you with screen passes to keep that defensive line more honest. There was no way to throw downfield when Jacob had to put his head on a swivel within 2 seconds of the snap.

I don't think Huesman called the play you were referring to. He might have okayed it, but sure the OC called the play. I like Jeff, but sometimes he can be very predictable. Be nice to see some imagination.

That game came down to a couple of 4th down plays on the last drive for JSU. If the Mocs stop either one of them, the game is more than likely over. JSU got them both and deserved the win.
