One of the great hockey coaches of all time. A very sad day for me and all Islander fans.

The Islanders go to Brooklyn next season (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/hockey/islanders-unveil-new-facilities-barclays-center-article-1.2286199) and there is no next season for old Nassau Coliseum, (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ice-melts-islanders-time-coliseum-gallery-1.2211129) which will be torn down and replaced by something smaller one of these days.

So all that is left in that corner of Long Island are memories, memories of what Dr. J was like when he was young and playing for the Nets of the ABA, and then later of Al Arbour's Islanders, one of the greatest teams with "New York" in its name we have ever had and will ever have.

I hope that they don't change the uniforms to black and white.

The fish sticks logo was one of the worst that I have seen. That was a huge mistake.
