This is ugly. Lafayette's offense has made some killer mistakes and their defense is giving up big plays....
We finally have a QB with confidence to go along with our running game it looks like (from this game at least).

Coastal recovers onside kick, wins 38-35. (Actually, that was like an hour ago, as I'm typing this from home after leaving the stadium).
So, basically, Furman and Coastal did what they always do against each other.
I still have no idea if Furman is going to be good or not. I've never seen Furman make so many mental mistakes in a game. And I've never seen them put on such an air show, either.

Reese Hannon set a Furman passing record against a team that was billed as one of the nation's better defenses. 525 yards of offense. Not sure anyone saw that coming.
Lot of mistakes. Week 1 game and a new offensive system. Don't expect that will be too difficult to iron out. Lot of positives to take away from tonight.

I just saw a Tweet from LSU saying the game was cancelled and they were working on determining a making date if any.
That has to be a first to see two games start and not finish in the same week.

If they don't review the intentional grounding the replay official should be fired.

Cal Poly may be good but I just don't think such a totally one-dimensional team will ever be national champion. Now, how good is NDSU with the Montana loss.

Hard to say. Montana played well, we did not and the coaching was bad. I would still not be afraid to play Montana IMO. Don't know where NDSU should be ranked.

I thought a letdown was bound to happen with as hyped up as that town was last weekend but tough to get a vibe on this game just following on my phone. 4 Montana turnovers didn't help them in this one but they had 3 against NDSU. Difference seemed to be that Cal Poly only turned it over once and that was actually on an INT return. Jury is still out on NDSU though, can't hide in the MVFC though so we'll find out soon enough.

I don't think you can completely gage everything by the results today, especially with the weather. Lots of balls on the ground tonight.
