An excerpt from an article from the New Orleans Times Piscayune about some of the issues that folks from the two participating schools in the Bayou Classic have about New Orleans post-Katrina. There is a brief mention of moving the game, but I think that is of little to no concern...

------------------
Chief among the concerns are making people feel as welcome as they did in Houston, and making sure there are no wristbands.

"That is a big insult," Upshaw said. "Don't treat us as if we're some foreigners who are coming in to tear up your city for one night and won't be back.

"Certainly New Orleans is a favorite. We do have some things we need to work through," Upshaw said. "We feel New Orleans is our home, but at the same time, home must be home. We shouldn't be treated like strangers."

The hotel association says it wants to make sure its guests are happy and is eager to work out any kinks in the relationship. "We welcome such dialogue," Gray said.
