I doubt it's true. Carolina is the most stress-free job in the country.

No way...
He'll be dead in 10 years. :D I know that 6-5 record at SC has to really get people thinking he's a genius, though.

He needs to leave. The last coach at South Carolina who built up a decent team dropped dead of a heart attack.

Still nothing on ESPN or Fox Sports.
I even checked Drudge - nothing about Spurrier, but Pam Anderson filed for divorce and the U.S. embassy wants the Bush twins out of Argentina.:rotateh:

seems false to me.
"Speculation over his replacement has focused on Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, both of whom continue to make it clear that they have no intention of leaving their respective jobs. A friend of Spurrier reiterated as much Monday morning, when Spurrier was out of Columbia recruiting."

I heard that he was a possible replacement for Dopey at University of Miami, even before he was fired at Miami. But I haven't heard about this one yet...

(Columbia) - Head coach is saying he's not leaving--again.
Monday, Spurrier shot down rumors that he might be interested in taking the head coaching position at the University of Alabama. That job came open when the Crimson Tide fired Mike Shula Monday afternoon.
"I have no intention of leaving South Carolina," Spurrier said Monday in a written release. "It's always flattering when a South Carolina coach is rumored for these big time programs. This one will die down in two or three days, too."
Spurrier's name was mentioned last week when it became clear that Larry Coker was going to be fired at the University of Miami. Spurrier said he had no interest in that job either.
Spurrier is currently in Florida on a recruiting trip.

So where has Paul Bryant Jr.'s plane been spotted in the past 36 hours? Austin, Windsor Locks, Greenville, N.C., Newark, Nashville, Morgantown, any others?
