I think UNI has different prices for every game this year.

yep jmu charges the most for family weekend and homecoming because it draws larger crowds. then home opener is 2nd highest. All others are usually the same third tier price. it's pretty common.

NDSU hated UNI for it a couple years ago when UNI was starting to do it before many others were.

Family weekend and homecoming are typically 30 or 40 per ticket, depending on the hype preseason and who the opponent is.
NDSU, SIU and SDSU will all be higher than all the others
InSU and USD will always be the cheapest at about $20
ISUr, WIU, YSU and MSU will fluxuate based on what other home games looked like at about $25-30
OOC patsy home games (Ten Tech, No Co, D2, etc...) will be 15-20
High profile OOC games (EWU, Cal Poly, Montana, etc..) will range between 30-45. I won't be shocked if Montana gets over 40 and pushes 50

Other fans hate it but it's extremely smart for the department and really is a good thing to see if your the visiting team. It means they respect the name and your program to charge more.

Yeah, nothing new about charging more for a premier game, be it in conference or out of. What gets ridiculous is when schools start refusing to sell single game tickets to one particular game to the general public until months after other single game tickets are on sale in an effort to only allow their own season ticket holders/alums/donors to buy tickets for that game because they're afraid of getting overtaken by the visiting team's fans. Just ask the South Dakota athletic department about that...

It's not exactly apples to apples, but UVA hosts Notre dame and is not selling it as single game. You must commit to at least a three game mini pack to get access to a ticket for that game.

Yeah, that's a tactic used by some NDSU opponents as well but also quite frequently in the NFL. Pretty sure you can't get a ticket to the Minnesota Vikings/Green Bay Packers game in Minnesota without having to buy a ticket to a less prestigious (by NFL standards) non-regional opponent.

But that along with charging a premium price for the games most in demand makes sense for an athletic department because it helps them maximize revenue. What USD did was just dumb because they were even refusing to take money from some of their own fans who weren't season ticket holders or a part of their booster club along with NDSU fans who weren't allowed to buy tickets until a couple weeks before the game (which was in late October).

It's not just JSU. Prices are higher for the game with Western Carolina as well. Tickets to the Mars Hill game actually come with a five dollar bill.

Furman does the same thing and has for along time. Used to be ASU and GSU tickets were more expensive. This year CCU tickets are. Supply and Demand

I want to go to the Montana @ Liberty game; however Liberty is still pushing season tickets only and NO single game tickets are on sale yet for any games. If any Liberty fans are reading, do you know when they plan to sell single game tickets?
