Well at least 8 schools won't be here if you have a mid-major board (Villanova, Georgetown, Missouri State, UNI, SIU, Illinois State, Indiana State, Drake) :rotateh:

Me either. And funny, since MVC members are still rated in the Mid-Major poll.....

Apparently beating two top ten teams in one week, having four teams make the tournament last year (2 of which go to the Sweet Sixteen), and having a top 25 team (with others receiving votes) still qualifies us a mid-major, guys.

If the MVC is mid-major, the WAC, MAC, Conference USA, etc. better be too.

I would say they are. Here in Iowa the MVC is still 3rd behind the Big 12 abd Big 11, and the MVC is deeper and better than the Big 12:nod: :rotateh:

Yeah, my perspective is that the majority of Iowans are Hawkeye fans. And the majority of Hawkeye fans are completely clueless.

I still remember when two years ago Will Blalock said "Of course they [UNI] are going to the NCAA tournament. If we played in the MVC we would win the conference every year!" And then Wayne Morgan said "We should drop UNI and Drake from our OOC schedule in favor of some harder teams."

UNI beat them that year by like 20 points...

The only way that Iowans will pay attention to the MVC is when UNI beats Iowa on a consistant basis (not just as home like now, but even in Iowa City) and then OTHER MVC teams come and beat the Hawkeyes.

When Kyle Korver (sp) was at Creighton the hype around the MVC was good in our area. But it is not what it should be. There is too much great ball in our back yards to only pay attention to Indiania Slick and his Sqwackeyes. Don't only blame this on Iowa fan either, there are plenty of UNI grads that are a disgrace to the panther nation:nod: They spend all their effort on the Cyclones and Hawkeyes.xidiotx xidiotx xidiotx xidiotx

Ohh believe me...I despise these "dual fans" you speak of.

But support for UNI in Iowa is growing, slowly but surely. Kids are being raised Panther finally.
