Forgive me, but I couldn't help getting a little chuckle out of the picture below after having read some of the other McNeese guys complaining about holding yesterday. It shows a McNeese defender being tackled by one Montana receiver as he tries to stop another from getting into the end zone.

Sorry but you better find a different picture! In this one the McNeese player has the ball! Besides, Griz #19 is one of our safety's!;)

Nah, it's partially because the Billings Gazette has an erroneous caption on the picture but I screwed up. The caption under the picture at the link Ralph posted reads:

"Montana's Eric Allen (5) dives in for a touchdown over McNeese State defender Darrick Brown (1) Saturday in Missoula."


Since the picture was captioned as a Montana player scoring a TD the fact that the McNeese guy was being tackled by #19 caught my eye. Also, the number on the McNeese player's back can be mistaken for a "1" at that angle. I don't know Montana's players so "19" didn't identify the guy as a safety to me.

But if you look closely you can see the McNeese guy has the ball and see a "7" on his shoulder.

actually in that picture mcneese has the ball. look closely and you will see, other proof of this is that number 19 is colt anderson the starting safety:D

You are correct. That is Steven Whitehead being tackled. Below, is my picture of the Montana touchdown right before the half. The TD that they thought they had in the picture they put up. The rest of my pictures will be up tonight. Still working on them. Something called work is getting in the way.
