How do you figure? Im sorry but math seems to lean in my favor. 38 is alot more then 14. Also UMass has a stronger offense then Hampton. UMass is 19th in total offense and Hampton is 37th.

My arbitrary, off-the-top-of-my-head prediction:

UNH 38
UMass 33

I hope I'm wrong.

Hey Maverick,

Thanks for the review..Yes, I am an old linebacker. I wish I could play tomorrow, but I can't. I'm sure Coach Brown will probably blitz over 90%, probably 100% if it is windy. I wouldn't be surprised if UMass goes with 2 defensive lineman and a nickel package most of the game. Brown will give them 3-4 yards per run if we are in a nickel. He has a bullseye painted on #2's jersey..Even if we don't sack him in the beginning, those hits will take a toll on him over the game. I believe Ihedigbo may be bigger than Santos..Buchanan finalist versus Payton finalist. Should be fun. What are your thoughts on UNH's defense and giving up 38 points to a MEAC team..I think that would be like giving up 38 to Lafayette..

UMass922,

Don't fret down there in Georgia. If UMass plays the way they have been playing week in and out, they will win. If they don't, then they have no one to blame and UNH is a better physical team than I thought, and they will represent the A-10 well. UNH must play great offense and defense and special teams. We know UNH has an offense. Their defense and special teams are suspect. They have not played consistant football this year. Don't get me wrong, they are a good team. The pressure is on UNH. UMass will play its best game of the year tomorrow. We get to watch..How cool is that..

KA - Where are you? Are you involved in football in any way? It's terrific that you posted. I hope you will be able to see the game.

KA, I'm not asking you to give yourself away, but perhaps did you play in Chattanooga in '98???

Old Cage,

I don't post that often, I mostly enjoy reading the comments from some fans. Obviously some know what they are talking about and some don't. It's so close to game time, it's exciting and I had to start to chirp a bit because UMass is in this year. I will be attending the UMass game tomorrow, and if you would like, I'll post my view of the game, win or lose..let me know..I have no current involvement in football, however, I was a former player. The best coverage or analyst on CS football that I have seen or read is Matt Dougherty from the Sports Network. Also check out Jeff Sagarian's Division 1 power rankings at USATODAY.com. They rank all BS and CS in one poll. There are alot of CS teams ranked above bowl BS teams. I don't gamble, but if I did, I would go by Dougherty's predictions. He is about as dead on as you can get. I think he is about 83% correct this year alone.

If UMass limits mistakes with flags and turnovers... UNH will not be able to play with them. I see this game going UMass's way by 10+

Well guys it's just about showtime. Good luck to both teams and I hope which ever team wins tomorrow, the other side will pull for the winner and support the Atlantic 10 and hopefully bring the Championship back to New England. I know I will be

me too...the car is packed with food & beer....the posts have been great...I pick my first guy up tomorrow at 9am....will have 5 in the car by 12noon when I hit UMASS. I am excited for what I hope is a great game...nervous though...I want UNH to win real badly but I think they are overmatched. No excuses, but with Corey Graham & Mike Boyle, they are scary.. without, it will take some amazing performances to beat UMASS. Worst case - we see David Ball's last college game. Good luck to all

Mother F*@ker,

I just had the worst nightmare that Ball and Santos had a 2004 like performance at McQuirk. I am hoping talking about makes it go away so I can get some sleep. Oh **** it since the Minuteman are trying to break their record of consecutive wins I may as well break one of my own. The tailgate begins now!

So what do I do, I check his stats. Nine of Ball's national-record 58 career touchdown receptions have come against the Minutemen. Mind you this is a pass defense that has given up only 16 total touchdown passes over the last 24 games. This guy is a GAMER!

Ball & Santos are great players. UMass is a great team. I think that will be the difference this afternoon - it should be a superb game. Leaving in 2 hours....LETS GO UMASS !!!!!!!

Great stat to start my day. Someone needs to let NESN know we arent 1-AA anymore. They just called us that for about ten minutes on a segment.

i just woke up after having had a dream of UNH breaking a tie score with 3:54 left when Santos conected with Sean Lynch in the back of the endzone for the go ahead score.

My son has a squirt hockey game scheduled for 2:40. I can't freakin' believe it. I hope I can get radio reception on my WalkmanŽ inside the arena and then race home to watch the 4th quarter.

Go Cats!

Agreed. Or it could cause some of Ricky's throws to ge errant and lead to INT's.

Are you trying to cause trouble?

nope, now that the game is over, I'll tell you. All I did was cut-n-paste one of YOUR fans posts on the Montana St/Appalachian thread. Then just changed the school name...xcoffeex

Hurts, no?
