These were some great posts to extend the new guys back in the day...I think it was circa 2007 or so. bobbythekidd (a legend) on AGS compiled this listing off of an old welcome aboard thread. Enjoy and if you feel like it make a new post and maybe we start an updated list that works along the lines of the humor shared amongst the fans in this one.

21. Please don't criticize another poster for their lack of spelling. Sometimes you just

want to get you point across, not turn in a freakin' spellproofed essay.

22. Cap'n Cat bribes the girls in his pictures to appear with him, don't let him tell you

otherwise.

23. Anybody on here with over 3,000 posts officially has no life (I'm getting close, I

know).

24. IGO4UNI is ALWAYS drinking, feel no obligation to crack one open just to post on

his drinking threads, another opportunity shall come usually within 12-14 hours.

And there you have it. 10,000 posts. Most were boring little one-liners, but I've managed to accumulate almost 9,000 rep points, 4 warnings, 5 strikes and 1 10 day ban. Not bad, but I feel I'm slipping. As the official AGS Troublemaker, it's my duty to "stir the pot", so to speak. I shall endeavor in the next 10,000 to to a better job of living up to that lofty moniker.

Peace to all, and a heartfelt thanks to the BOD, Mods, and administration that provides this place for us all to gather and discuss the myriad of things we discuss.....and sometimes football.

For the last ten years, the top of the FBS/1A was 30 seconds away from breaking away from the bottom of the FBS/1A and creating their own divison. At that point, what's left of the FBS/1A was going to merge with the top of the FCS/1AA and create a new subdivison in NCAA D1.

Strangely enough, despite every single conference move, television deal, act of God, city council election, and dog fart over the last decade being yet another sign that it was imminent, it has never happened.

In ten more years, it will still be 30 seconds away.

I agree we've lost some fun posters. I think the overrun of fans of certain schools is part of who is winning though. We used to have a lot of Delaware fans. How many App fans around 2007? When NDSU goes a year or two without a championship, I think you'll see a drop off. Some will stay of course.

People like BuckP that arranged for me to get a King Cake on Shrove Tuesday. I also remember some great debates/discussions on the boards with people like Cap'n Cat and D1B. As caustic as they could be, if you were civil with them, they would be civil with you---and still offer fine points in an argument.

Of Course, being drunk-dialed by the Cat early on a Sunday morning was an experience I don't want to repeat. :)

I go back on this board (or its predecessor) when it was an EZ board many years ago. There might have been a version before that but I don't remember what it was. Before that the only I-AA talk around was on the AOL Div 1-AA messageboard. I don't know if there are any posters still around here that were on that. This would be back in 1994-95.

People like BuckP that arranged for me to get a King Cake on Shrove Tuesday. I also remember some great debates/discussions on the boards with people like Cap'n Cat and D1B. As caustic as they could be, if you were civil with them, they would be civil with you---and still offer fine points in an argument.

I think it's possible that CS might have slightly more posts in off season, not sure, haven't paid much attention lately but CS is around 175-200/day and AGS is averaging 270/day over the last month.

Right. Both have their place at this point.

This place is more of a dinner club type place. Things get heated but everything is on mostly the same types of topics and courteous (ish).
CS is a Wild West saloon circa 1849 in California. All bets are off on any topic.

I pretty much never post about football over there as there isn't much to be had.
I almost never post non-football here, because it's not where I get my bang for my free buck.

The trip to your place was the tits. The party bus was epic.

For the noobs that havent heard this one.

A couple of years ago we go out to MT for the football game. One of the things AG1 and Ursus has planned for us is a party bus which is going to take us around town to the micro breweries and then a tour of Wash-Grizz Stadium. Now one must remember that the party bus has beer taps and cup holder-dispensers on the outside of the bus. (Rememer this for later on.)
So they are taking us around Mizzoula having a great time hitting the micro brews. WE finally reach Wash-Grizz Stadium. Every one get off the bus. First they wont let us in then they do. We walk around take pictures get the short tour. WE all go outside to get on the bus but the bus is gone. So we wait and wait guys are getting thirsty when here comes the bus at a high rate of speed. Instead of going around the traffic circle to pick us up he cross two lanes of traffic come in at an angle blocking 6 handicapped parking spots and one lane of traffic right in front of Wash-Grizz stadium entrance. Does anyone get on the bus? **** no. They are thristy. So all these guys are filling up there beer glasses, drinking and carrying on. The bus is parked illegally and nobody says a damn thing. So this one guy pulls out a cigarette and lites it up. In a flash there are 3 people rushing over to tell him he cant smoke his cigarette there and will have to put it out. WTF??? So the guy is standing outside, smoking a cig, drinking a beer the bus is blocking traffic and the only concern is the cigarette. Thought I was going to die laughing. They guy goes can I drink my beer? They said sure but the cig has to go. He smiles and puts the cig out and keeps drinking his beer. I will never ever forget that one.

Was a pretty good time for sure. Lot of great Bison fans I met on that tour too. AG1 gets all credit on the bus hookup, that is a buddy of his that owns that one and does us a solid a few times now with his carriage and cartage.

My friend that owns the bus went down to talk to them about driving people around town with open containers and if it was legal. Thye both told him it would be ok as long as the beer on the bus wasnt accessible from the inside...................................because pulling over 25 times a night and having drunk people bail off a bus next to the highway or a brewery to fill up is so much safer.

Whatever, that bus is a fun muther****er to run up and down the Bitterroot on a booze cruise
