First off, absolutely hats off to Hampton. What a game. One of the best I've ever listened to.

Second, this is the rematch I've wanted all along. UNH can't POSSIBLY start as bad as they did again (28-3, blocked punt, botched fake punt), and UMass can't POSSIBLY end the game as badly as they did (17-0, horrible play call won the game for them on 4th and goal at the 4). Should be a hell of a game.

I surely underestimated Hampton. Again, Hats Off.

However, saying nice things about HU ain't gettin' it... ALL the talk about HU's playoff past...has remained the same....long after this day is gone, there'll be the weak conference, weak OOC, etc. chat again.

All I want is for any school in your conference WILLING (no excuses) to play HU during the regular season ...... to step up, & let's play. Other than that, I don't wanna read anymore "STUFF" concerning no respect etc.

Yeah, i'm pissed....UNH found a way to win.....that's the name of the game. They did want they had to do. CONGRATS to all concern!

UNH played a home and home in the early 2000's. Maybe the availability of a 1-A game shut that down since then. I'm not sure Northwestern could play with this Hampton team, by the way.

Way to go UNH! Go A-10!

In the second half against UMass the last time around UNH gave up just 7 points after a bad first half, and Baylark had 89 yards rushing-36 on one play-in the game.If they can have a repeat of that, they might just be able to hang with them.I realize that's a big IF.

The athletes have always been there. No ones argued that. Problem lies in the fact that while the athletes are always there, so are the 1st round playoff losses.

Hampton is good but UNH at this point in the season is only the 3rd or 4th best A-10 team against the #1 MEAC team and they still won.

Sounded like a great game, wish it was on TV instead of UMass/Pards.

In the second half against UMass the last time around UNH gave up just 7 points after a bad first half, and Baylark had 89 yards rushing-36 on one play-in the game.If they can have a repeat of that, they might just be able to hang with them.I realize that's a big IF.

UNH is going to surprise everybody next weekend. For their part, UMASS has been sleep walking through the 2nd half of their season, beginning with 2nd half of UNH game. Lafayette win was to be expected over a foe from a down PL this year. Santos, Ball, and their cast of merry receivers and runners will be LOVIN' the UMASS field turf next weekend. Should keep UNH offense on track. And, there is NO way UMASS can sustain the blitzing pressure that all of those HU tracksters put on Santos earlier today. If Ball goes off, UNH 35 UMASS 28 in a nail biter!:hurray:

The athletes have always been there. No ones argued that. Problem lies in the fact that while the athletes are always there, so are the 1st round playoff losses.

Hampton is good but UNH at this point in the season is only the 3rd or 4th best A-10 team against the #1 MEAC team and they still won.

Sounded like a great game, wish it was on TV instead of UMass/Pards.

As bad as UNH played during the middle of the season vs JMU (a blow out to be sure), UMASS, and Northeastern, they are still only 3 or 4 plays from being 11-1 (bad option call on the goalline at end of game vs UMASS and 2pt conversion by NU following a 4th down OT TD). Their offense is recently playing like they did last year (with less emphasis on David Ball, too). I honestly think you can flip a coin as to who is #2 in the league after JMU: UNH, UMaine, or UMASS. UMASS avoided the A-10 Southern iron this year which contributes to 11-1 in a big way. Nice thing is we'll find out for sure next Saturday. Should be a great game.

Come on... you are in a dream world. This time UMass will not act like the game is over when they are up 21-3. Should be a good game. I also heard lights are being brought in for next weeks game so it will be a later start. Hopefully not too late seems we moved the BBall game with BC later.

Yes but a teams defense can get totally run over and still pull off a close game. First hand experience for UNH totally running all over UNI's defense last year but losing the game.

Also 28-20 win a few weeks ago for UMass no one should be handing them the win just yet.

Ask Laf about our blitzing. Their QB was hurried all day. Santos also had a fun time with our D on Nov 4th as well. UMass has an equal offense to Hampton and a better defense. Laf scored twice today with the short field after turnovers. It will be a good game but I expect the home team to come out on top again.

The game was over early and UMass played like it. If UMass plays a full game sat... it wont be as close.

OK. If thinking that makes you sleep better at night.

To all UNH Fans & Supporters.......

Thanks for the niceties.... I respect all of you......

NOW, let's find a way to play during the season! Is THAT an UNREASONABLE request?
Cal Poly is looking for games and I am sure they would love to hear from HU's AD.

As far as the rest of your post, you are the only one bringing up negatives about HU and it seems that you have a hard time taking a compliment. Before today has HU done anything in the playoffs that you are proud of? Today you should be proud of the way they played and I understand being pissed that they did not pull it out.

I was pulling for HU and would love to see Cal Poly and HU play next season.

As course I know how to receive a "compliment"...
You obviously did not read all I typed.

At least I agree w/you on 1 statement you made. A CP vs. HU game is much better than CP vs Savannah St. !!!!!

I know how you feel about nobody willing to play you in the regular season. Cal Poly's scheduled DII Fort Lewis and Savanah State this season because they were the only teams we could get to play in San Luis Obispo and the DII game cost us a chance at the playoffs. Cal Poly also scheduled two I-A game for the same reason.

We should schedule a home and home. BTW, any I-AA game would be better than playing Savanah State. I hope their new coach can turn it around.

Defense... UMass has it... UNH doesn't

With Santos, defense is a relative term. Last year, UMASS had given up 2 TD's prior to UNH game and Santos burned them for 5. Today, Hampton (much better than advertised, by the way, with 6 pro prospects and some great overall team speed) had given up 10 passing TD's all year and Santos lit them up for 5! UNH has a knack of finding some defensive stops when most needed just as they did today and last week vs a good UMaine team. (Having said that, I recognize that two major exceptions this year were JMU and Northeastern). Should be a great game!

This demand for a regular season H&H seems to be directed at UNH. You seem to forget that UNH did play a H&H with Hampton in '00 & '01. As far as the question if it is unreasonable today, the answer is yes. That is due to the fact UNH now plays a I-A game every year, which is always on the road. There are only 3 OOC games available. One (I-A) is always away, the second is Dartmouth (in state rivalry) every year, and the third by default has to be a home game. Without the third OOC game always being a home game, they would be playing six road games every year instead of every other year.

Why do you make such stupid statements? xidiotx

So the outcome of the game next week is dependent on what how 'UMass' plays. How UNH does on offense or defense will have no influence on the outcome? :eyebrow:
