CAA Football held its annual football media day this morning at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Villanova senior quarterback John Robertson (Paramus, N.J.) was named the CAA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, while senior linebacker Don Cherry (Trumbull, Conn.) was selected as the league’s Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Robertson and Cherry were also named to the CAA Football Preseason All-Conference team. In addition, the Wildcats were picked first in the preseason predicted order of finish.
