Five Lamar University football players have been named to the 2015 Preseason All-Southland Conference team announced league officials Wednesday morning. The announcement comes just a week before LU head coach Ray Woodard and selected players will travel to Lake Charles, La., for the annual Southland Conference Media Days. It also ties a record for the most Cardinals named to a preseason squad since the return of football prior to the 2010 season (LU didn’t start competing in the SLC until the 2011 season).
