I know in the past there was a table someone put together based on returning experience. I was wondering if it was done for this season or if it can be done.

I don't know if has been put up here yet cuz I don't remember seeing it. It is probably something we could produce here as "the crowd" if we had some people wanting to chip in on it. If so reply to the thread and we'll get it rolling if it isn't being done this year.

I liked that spreadsheet. I'd donate some time to it. I won't have a lot of free time till Monday afternoon, but after that I can help.

I could participate starting the 21st. Is there a way to link to the most recent one to get a format?

Mr. Chicken referenced that work often last season.

Here was last year's data: http://home.comcast.net/~keepersfootball/fcsspringconf.htm

I don't know who put it together.

I will put together some sheets, give the links to those that want to fill them in etc.

BTW, don't go making your own. I already have a base sheet with the teams and so forth listed by conference and so forth.

I wasn't even going to try to start making a sheet like this.

What difference does experience make when the ones you had last year that are coming back weren't any good? ;)

You have a better chance of being less bad...due to experience.

I've rarely seen it work that way but I suppose it is possible but very unlikely. Sandbagger.:D

ready now! http://home.comcast.net/~keepersfootball/fcsstats.htm ENJOY.

Hoping to see some individual team or conference in-depth previews from you guys
which may include profiles, incoming transfers, former starters returning, etc.

OK, here is a bit of a twist that is hard (maybe impossible) to account for, but adds to the discussion.... My Mocs are 50th in the FCS, however we have 2 players that are returning to the Starting line up from Medical Redshirts, how are they accounted for? They weren't starters last year, they didn't even play last year, but the year before one was all conference....just a discussion.

Montana has the same thing with Ellis Henderson who is electricity at WR, KOR, etc.

Are there any teams you need numbers of returning players for yet? I could contribute what I know for teams I follow if so. Also, do transfers count towards here? They have experience, just not with their new team.

Returning injured or former starters not impossible to note, just do not fit in the context of last year's stats.
This would be additional information to be reviewed per team situation, as well as transfers, position switches, recruiting, etc,
and must be thoroughly evaluated like any other info. I'll let knowledgeable football fans do that.

My sources and results are purely numerical, intended as a quick reference for use by anyone as they see fit.
Wish I could quit my regular job and cover football 24/7/360 like Phil Steele.

And Naccarato, and Schmaing…

I'm surprised the Griz end up 106th. with how few starters they lose on defense, but getting all those guys back that were supposed to be keys last year makes that ranking rather irrelevant anyway.
