Three Black Bears earned STATS FCS Preseason All-America honors, as announced on Thursday, July 9. University of Maine linebacker Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga and offensive lineman Bruce Johnson were named second team All-Americans while defensive end Trevor Bates earned third team honors.
