David Riede returns for his eighth season on the Wildcats staff in 2014. After serving as an offensive assistant in 2007, Riede has coached the Villanova cornerbacks the past five seasons. In addition to serving as the cornerbacks coach in 2014, Riede will also be the Director of Player Personnel for the sixth straight season. In this role he will assist in all aspects of Villanova's national recruiting program, as well as serving as the team's academic and compliance liaison. He will also help coordinate the Andy Talley Villanova Football Camps and the "Get in the Game, Save a Life" Bone Marrow program.
Riede primarily recruits Southern California. He also handles all on-campus recruiting.
Riede came to Villanova from Allegheny College where he was an assistant from 2005-07. During his stay at Allegheny, Riede was responsible for coaching the wide receivers and overseeing all aspects of video coordination.
He is a 2003 graduate of Baldwin Wallace College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. During his playing days at Baldwin Wallace, he was a two-year letterwinner in football and a three-year letterwinner in baseball. Riede earned a Masters Degree in Sport and Recreational Management from Kent State University in 2005.
Riede is single and resides in Philadelphia, Pa.

61. We mentioned earlier in the countdown about NDSU's red zone success or lack there of it early in 2014. The Bison scored 42 touchdowns on 69 possessions inside the red zone last year, which comes in at a rate at 61 percent. The overall percentage came out at 88 percent, which was 16th best in the nation, UNI came in number one overall at 98 percent. The Bison got better as the season went along inside the 20, but the struggles were there early in the season, specifically the Weber State and Montana games. Another year under center for Carson Wentz and a more experienced offensive line should be the biggest assets to more touchdowns inside the 20.
