Congrats to Wofford! They almost beat NC State the other night too. Looks like Woffy is going to be awfully tough this year.

Not as big a shock as those outside the Cincinnati area might think. After Huggins was fired, and again when they didn't renew the contract of interim coach Andy Kennedy, UC lost a bunch of recruits and current players. Mitch Cronin will have a great deal of success at UC and has already done a great job recruiting, but the team isn't up to big-time NCAA hoops standards right now.

I thought this was going to be Marquette beating Duke. But then again, Duke is a tad overrated this year at this point. They are a top 25 team, no doubt, but not top 10 with all them youngins playing that haven't faced the brutal ACC schedule yet.

Most of the country doesn't realize that Cincinnati is a shell of its former hoops self. At the end of the year, if the Terriers are considered a "bubble" team for making the Big Dance, this win will be listed among "key wins" to be considered. ;)

I love to see the "big boys" go down -- and I have no loyalty to the local schools around here. : smh :
