John Harrison enters his first year as a member of the Wildcats coaching staff in 2014. He will assist on the offensive side of the ball and will coach the Villanova tight ends.
Harrison comes to Villanova from the University of Chicago where he coached during the 2013 season. He helped Chicago to its first winning season in three years as the program's wide receivers coach. Under his direction, two wideouts earned all-conference honors.
As a player, Harrison was a four-year starting quarterback at Franklin and Marshall where he garnered second team All-Centennial Conference honors in 2009 and 2010. He is the Centennial Conference career and single-season record holder for touchdown passes, completions and completion percentage. He also holds numerous Franklin and Marshall records, including career touchdown passes, passing yards, pass completions, completion percentage and total offense.
He was a three-time Dean's List honoree and earned a degree from Franklin and Marshall in 2012 in Business, Organizations and Society.
Harrison is single and resides in Villanova, Pa.

The 1968 Bison football team won the school's second national championship as the Herd defeated Arkansas State 23-14 in the Pecan Bowl in Arlington, Texas. NDSU went 10-0 that season and was led by legendary coach Ron Erhardt. Erhardt captured two national titles as head coach of the Herd.

The Bison were led by First Team All-Americans Paul Hatchett and Jim Ferge, and all-conference honorees Bruce Nelson, Bob Hyland, and Del Gehrett. Other standouts included Ken Blazei, Bruce Grasamke, Joe Roller and Tim Mjos.
