Sorry, but this team is a joke. Any team like this that doesn't include Luke Rhodes as even an HM is a joke.

I have to agree with Tribe4SF. I hate to diminish FCS pub but any team that has this many on the first-team is not legit and how do you miss Rhodes and others?

Y'all may be experts. I am not. Apparently, though, these Top & Respected FCS Programs, and others, consider this All-American Team worthy of legitimate notice:

This "All American" program excludes numerous players who clearly belong in the top 1 or 2 percent. One of the most obvious is not including Carson Wentz among the 21 QBs on the either the 1st or 2nd teams. There are simple errors as well: Vad Lee is on both the 1st and 2nd teams.
They are more focused on selecting a significant number of players from all teams and conferences than truly identifying the best players. I view it as simply a list of players from throughout the FCS to keep an eye on during 2015.

Apparently, your perspective differs from the New Hampshire Wildcat Football Program which views the selections as All-Americans - http://unhwildcats.com/sports/fball/2015-16/releases/20150624v4zcpm

(My apologies for omitting New Hampshire from the original list I posted of Top & Respected FCS Programs that view this All-American Team as worthy of legitimate notice. The Wildcats are certainly a Top & Respected program. THIS IS AMAZING! - "New Hampshire has been ranked in the Top-25 for 155 consecutive weeks, FCS football's longest streak that dates back to Sept. 13, 2004." - Fixed it now.)

Your link isn't working.

I'm not completely slamming this list and any all-american list is going to have some debate. I'm glad that some MSU guys made it, but there are some obvious mistakes. Flynn was an Athlon first team Guard and didn't even make this list.

It's not that but I'm just saying that it is basically a fan list with 6.5x the amount of players on the first team there should be and still has good ones left off.

For 7 schools to write a release is nothing. Probably 30 will do one on AGS, which is a fan poll.

Remember that it is the job of media relations departments to put out press on their school and at this time of year major outlets don't really put out much.

I'm not putting this group down to put them down but after seeing the list it really isn't very credible. They are like that website draft diamonds in that they list EVERYONE because they don't want to hurt any feelings or make a true decision. 60 FCS players will never get drafted and there aren't 170 first-team all-Americans in FCS.

As I said, they are simply doing their job and putting out press on their players. They have to make any list sound legit that they post or else people will just laugh at them. I would have done the same thing if I'm UNH. Always make liver much sound like steak you know.

The list is bad. There are about 25-30 good players left off plus another 50 mistakes.

Anytime a player is drafted and is on a list like that automatically takes away any credit that media outlet has. That is just lazy.

Our SID quit doing releases from this particular website when they noticed already graduated seniors listed plus the sheer volume of players ... not to mention major omissions. Case in point, Isiah Corbett is listed on the first team defense and he just graduated. It's a joke.

I still have not seen the list this year. I just saw it last year and have seen the comments on it. I'm sure there are even more.

You guys would be surprised how many conference SIDs have told me over the years that only 3 or 4 people actually fact check their lists with them. This website is obviously not one of them.

No apology needed. I first saw it on a UNH sports office news feed several days ago. The fact that the UNH sports information guys chose to disseminate the press release in no way mitigates my comments or criticism of this "All American" List. Most Sports Information Offices will release any positive news to market their programs. It's understandable, considering the paucity of real news coverage the get. Apparently, Southeastern Louisiana, has decided not to; I commend them for the decision.

It's pretty obvious that they rely solely on statistical results from the prior season, trying to include as many programs as possible and regardless of some very significant factors such as strength of schedule. They don't even properly review or vette their choices, evidenced by all the simple errors that have been partially documented on this thread. Even their website looks like something from the turn of the century. But if you want to continue to advocate for the USA College FCS "All American" Team, by all means, don't let every one else who has posted here dissuade you.

If I ever see them credentialed at a football game I'm going to ask the media relations department how they got in. I agree with you. It's obvious these are just fans who didn't even do half the research that hardcore fans on AGS would do.

I think AGS top 50 posters would put a better list together than College Football Madness, USA Football, Draft Diamonds, and about 10 other mom and pop websites I have seen online.

Hehe maybe Colton is coming back for another season! :D

Wow that is beyond bad for trying to pick preseason players you would hope they would actually be current players!xrolleyesx

I looked at the full list finally. Here are the glaring mistakes.

http://www.americanfootballnetworks.com/15D1AA-Pre.htm

WR Adrian Wilkins has entered the supplemental draft.
OT Jake Rodgers was drafted in the 7th round by Atlanta.
LB Isiah Corbett signed with a NFL team.
DB Colten Heagle graduated.
They list Western Carolina as a SC school, not NC.
They spelled Chris wrong on Chris Blair of Elon.

Not to mention about 20 legit players who have to be mentioned when you list 20 at every position like they have.

How is Carson Wentz not a top 20 FCS QB? In fact, I have him in my top 5.

Not sure, but congratulations to Vad Lee of JMU on being so good that he is both 1st and 2nd team preseason All-American.

He should probably just change his name to Captain All-American.

I barely looked at the honorable mention and I did not go through line by line and count players who could be listed twice. I just listed the obvious errors that make the list look very bad.
