Waters and Hopkins were one of the best safety combos I ever saw. Sure he had a few questionable hits, but I thought Dan Dierdorff was way over the line coming up with the Dirty Waters comment and then repeating it ad infinitum. Just one of the many reasons why I strongly dislike Dierdorff. RIP.

Yeah what a defense that was. Andre, Wes, E Allen, Reggie, Clyde, Jerome, Bryon Evans, Seth Joyner.

I'm surprised at your stance on Andre, GF. Don't you remember when Waters went after Rich's knees? :( Haven't liked him since., but, RIP Andre.

Eh, in football you get some tough plays - I've seen worse and guys never have to suffer through that moniker like Andre did. He got a bad rap versus what else went on in the league.

Wow, what a shocker. Where is Fort Valley State where he was a coach?

For Dierdorff to complain about anyone's technique when he and Conrad Dobler cornered the market on dirty play was outrageous. Other than that Dan was a very good and knowledgeable commentator.

I met Andre Waters and was surprised at how small he was. He was a hitter and an over achiever and I am truly saddenned that his life took the turn that it did.

Andre Waters deserved better. He was a truly blue collar player. He was the kind of player those of us in the Delaware Valley love. He will be missed locally.

Our best wishes go to his family.
