I don't know about that, NDSU has a good team this year and will be pumped up to play at home after the 3 game road trip that started out the season. NDSU is also very tough at home, the Bison went 12-1 last year losing only to a very tough Manhattan team.

Should be a good game. The Paladins are coming off a solid win at a MAC school (albeit a weaker one in Bowling Green) and still have a game at Vanderbilt following NDSU on the roadtrip.

We're not the Flying Feet of Erskine, but I think we'll get back to .500 after Wednesday

It was a good close game last year. I would be surprised if it is anything less this year.

With under 4 minutes left to play we were only down by 3, explain to me how that was not a close game. :eyebrow:

Well we won by 12. I was at the game and I never felt like we might lose, even though it got close a couple times. Bostain was just unstoppable.

We have a new coach this year and we definitely won't take 25 three-point shots this time around. Bostain is still our best player, so far he's averaging 19 points and 8.5 rebounds as a SG/SF. Our post play remains a concern... the Bison outrebounded the Paladins last year and might have an edge on the boards again.

Bobby Knight in reference to his narrow win against the Bison in Lubbock.

“The wrong team won,” Knight said. “They outhustled us, they outplayed us, they outfought us. It was really a shame we won the game. Those kids came in and hadn’t played particularly well against Minnesota. They came down here and had their minds made up that they were really going to play and they did. If they can stay at that level, they’ll create problems for a lot of teams.”

I'm hoping for another monster game out of Bostain against the Bison. He's doing very well so far this year.

Tonight is the "big";) game b/w NDSU and FU.

Here is the Furman game release.

Furman is 3-1 with a win over Bowling Green and a 9 point loss to Clemson. NDSU is 2-2 with a win over Idaho and a 4 point loss to Texas Tech. Should be a good game.

I beg to differ. I don't recall the final score but the winner was questionable until the final few minutes

Hey, I was there, it's not like I'm making up what my opinion was. Sometimes, even in a close game, one team has the edge the whole way. It was sort of like when we played Texas Tech last year... it was close until the very end but I never really felt like we could pull ahead and hold the lead.

Some really questionable calls, beyond what I would normally say is expected on the road. Really it was just 1 of the refs. Being unable to stop Andre Smith was the main problem for the Paladins.

That late OB call that the Furman player tipped it, and the ball went to the purple. ;)

That's one thing I don't like to do is blame the refs for losing a game. Coaching youth sports for several years, I stressed that to the kids. The refs are part of the game, just like the weather, field conditions etc.

I'm not really one to blame refs either. But one of the refs, I don't know his name, made like 5-6 calls that were just wrong. He wasn't even in position to make them. The OB calls went overwhelmingly to NDSU, the most lopsided I've ever seen, but at least those are really tough calls to make. On the other hand, a ref should know that the jump stops Diagne uses are legal.
