Yale: Mandi Schwartz Marrow Donor Registration Drive Adds 761 Potential Life-Savers

Fresh off the news of yet another life-saving donation from a previous drive, the Yale Athletics department hosted its annual Mandi Schwartz Marrow Donor Registration Drive Thursday at Commons -- and added 761 more potential life-savers to the Be The Match Registry®. The Bulldogs’ efforts on Thursday will no doubt add to the total number of donor matches for patients with life-threatening illnesses located through the six previous drives. That figure is now at least 29, following the recent donation by senior Peter Ambiel (Los Altos, Calif.) of the men’s soccer team. Yale has now added a total of 5,299 people to the registry.
