Here it is, the final list of all I-AA teams who have reached 7 division I wins and are playoff eligible. All automatic qualifiers have been removed from the list, to best represent the pool of at-large candidates. 17 teams are eligible for at large bids (21 if the NEC and MAAC are included), which means only half of the eligible teams will be chosen. So which teams will be this year's Wofford? We will find out shortly...

I'm looking at that field and thinking there is room for San Diego to prove something. Their competition is from 7-4 teams and teams from other weak Conferences that have a loss or two. Heck they are undefeated and have qualified with 7 I-AA victories. Give them a shot. Otherwise what have they got to play for if the message is sent that they can't make it no matter what kind of season they have.

I think the message that would be sent is they need to have a similar (1 or 2 loss) season against better non-conference competition. Granted, they can't help who they play in conference, but playing 2 sub division I teams will not help their case.
