Biggest Win: Montana with another great defensive effort against a playoff deserving Montana St. Both teams played sloppily, but Montana found a way to win as they have all year long.
Worst loss:Northern Iowa, in a winnable game to get in they just couldn't get er done.

I wouldn't say that sloppy. 8 turnovers yes, but I was at the game and just watched it again on TIVO. The defenses were awesome, fumbles were caused by big hits and strips and interceptions were made because QB's were pressured and DB's made great plays. A great defense can make any offense look sloppy.

UNI did win. At least ESPN is saying they did.

What are you talking about? UNI won. Also, JMU won 38-3, not 38-2.

Okay your right about UNI, I guess I got messed up. I too was at the game, but anytime both teams throw that many picks, execution is lacking. I agree about the defenses, the Bobcats were better than i thought they would be, but our defense looked strong once again (other than the deep pass, its a shutout). Anyway, the team looks good, and this was a very important triumph gor the Grizzlies. POOR BOBCATSxlolx

The poll must have been pretty good. All the losses in the top 25 (except Harvard) by top25 teams were to other ranked teams.

BIGGEST WIN Lafayette
BIGGEST LOSS Lehigh

BIGGEST WIN Lafayette
BIGGEST LOSS Lehigh

For the poll, biggest win and loss are among top 25s. Lafayette and Lehigh are ineligible for that vote. Teams were a combined 0-7 against the Ivys.

Fitting ending for a dismal PL year. 13-22 OOC.

Coaches quotes this morning.

Kramer...
“Maybe the Grizzly fans, and maybe even ours, wanted to see 35, 40 points, nobody making mistakes,” said Kramer, whose teams had won three of the past four meetings. “But all the mistakes in this game were forced by the other team playing well.”

Hauck...
“Heck, I'm an old defensive guy,” added Hauck, smiling next to the Big Sky championship trophy. “The only thing more beautiful than that is a 2-0 game.”

Ronbo is right on the money here. The "Brawl" was the best defensive game I have seen since the 2001 National Championship game. Montana's D is legit and quite possibly the best in I-AA. Now if only they can find some "O".

It's a shame that NDSU isn't playoff eligible.
