Ironically that terrible Bucknell class produced 4 players who started as freshmen for the league's 2nd place team. Also produced the only freshman lineman to make All-PL.

Worthy of mention here. CJ Williams was not counted in that class because he was announced after signing day. Had the Committee tried harder to get other "announced" recruits - and Bucknell had tried harder to "announce" him, and others - Bucknell's class probably would have been better. How much, I do not know, but certainly not last.

CJ Williams has been talked about a lot behind closed doors with the Committee, in this context - how can you really get the right Patsy numbers without including these guys?

I'm curious how the points for "speed" are determined and what sort of times are typical for the PL recruiting classes. Looking at my database, these are the times shown on HUDL for Bucknell recruits:

Unfortunately a couple of the speed position players have no published times.


How typical would those sort of times be for the published times for the last few PL classes? I know a number of these times are out-of-date and would likely be faster if run now - but I'm sure that is true for every other school's class as well.

They're good times. Not much different than those of some other PL classes this year. Actual independent times are not too common at our level. Self reported times on hudl et al are more hopeful than real.

Thanks. Ordille's 4.40 is legit btw, and he reportedly has had some faster times. He was the fastest junior in New Jersey in the 100 meters last spring - all groups, all districts - and as you know, NJ is a great track state.

The Committee does not accept Hudl times because there is no way to verify their accuracy. They have to show up on one of the Committee-approved scouting websites to qualify.

C'mon, guys, even LFN who is a mere Lehigh grad and therefore probably not gainfully employed, has only 24 hours in his average day. When you people kick in to make the Patsy ratings a paying gig maybe someone will have the time to look under every rock on planet earth to uncover speed times and other minutia. If it isn't reported on one of the "approved" recruiting sites it isn't included. That's the way it is and has always been. Suck it up and move on.
