anyone else keeping up with this?
There are some very good DII teams in the playoffs that gave I-AA's a scare and even beat some
North Dakota #3 seed in Northwest, #7 DII Top 25
- beat Northern Iowa 35-31
Bloomsburg #2 seed in Northeast, #5 DII Top 25
- lost 3-14 vs James Madison
Chadron State #2 seed in Southwest, #8 DII Top 25
- beat Montana St 35-24

Fans from the state of Delaware still have Wesley College (Dover, DE) to root for in the DIII playoffs. Wesley is ranked number 1 in their region (the South). They won today 49-21 in the first round of their playoffs.

I'm interested in Newberry. They have been sucktacular so long, it's good to see them doing well. Also, they have a bunch of SoCon transfers on their team (including quarterbacks from Furman and Citadel). On the other hand, they lost to future Little South member PC.

The Carroll-Montana State Northern game must have been a good one.
Northern ended Carroll's 20+ game win streak earlier this season, so this is a big win. All of Montana should be cheering on Carroll to their FIFTH consecutive NAIA national championship this season.

Should've went to Pyle's in Avondale between $15 & $20 for their trees, we go there every year. There are a couple "cut your own" around but they're like $8-$9 per foot, plus you have to cut it yourself.

And didn't Grand Valley State beat North Dakota in the previous round? After watching last night's game and seeing the Bloomsburg and North Dakota scores, I came to the same conclusion -- high quality at the top level of D-II!
I'm looking forward to the Grand Valley State-NW Missouri State matchup in Florence, Alabama. Same with Mt. Union and Wisconsin Whitewater! Both levels play with a ton of emotion and it's really for the love of the game. I'll take that over the semi-pros in a meaningless bowl game any day!!
Seeing that one of the D-II finalists is NW Missouri State, I have a question. Are there significant differences in them and our (CS) Missouri State? Enrollment? Number of Alumni? Years of existense? How many other "directional" States are there in Missouri that play football? Just asking to ascertain if they are a potential CS school. And to get a better understanding of a fellow CS school. Thanks in advance!!

There are several "directional" schools in Missouri: Division, conference, enrollment(not exact)
Missouri State-CS, Gateway/MVC, enrollment-20,000
Southeast Missouri State-CS, OVC, 7,700
Northwest Missouri State-D-II, MIAA, enrollment-6,500
Truman State(fmr. Northeast Missouri State)-D-II, MIAA, enrollment-6,000
Missouri Southern State-D-II, MIAA, enrollment-5700
Missouri Western University-D-II, MIAA, enrollment-5100
Univeristy of Central Missouri-D-II, MIAA, enrollment-10,000
About the only team that is consitently competitive in all sports is NWMSU, problem is there is almost nobody in the school that wants to go to D-I. Small enrollment, expenses, etc. as far as i know from talking with people who work in student gov't at these schools pretty much everyone in the Directional schools is content in D-II and the MIAA.

Fighting Okra vs. Lakers
Should be a good game. It's fun to keep up with the old D2 schools. I remember that mud-bowl playoff game we played against Delta State. Lamar Gordon served as RB/QB due to injuries and it was pretty much direct snap to Lamar and see what he could do. Not much I guess, we lost 16-34. NDSU is 0-1 vs GVSU, 17-21 loss back in 1991.
