Seems like a good hire. It will be tough to replace Coach Mac. Do you have any inside to Ecks coaching style/personality ?

6 moves in 9 years. He hasn't been in one spot for more then 3 years. He was at Western Illinois.

Very loud, out there type. Not a shrinking violet. The players who I talked to, particularly the offensive linemen, seemed to like him. I figured that we would lose some coaches after being national runnerup.

MSU ran a read option and had a great o-line. Eck mixes up his calls, I wouldn't call him predictable.

I first heard about this early Thursday morning from a player's parent. Spent the day vetting it- this article came out from MSU-Mankato a few minutes ago.

Here is one of his tweets after MSU beat UMD in the playoffs- the two teams were both unbeaten in the NSIC in the regular season so both had championship trophies.
