Just days after announcing its 2015 signing class, and in spite of the weather, the Lamar Cardinals football team stepped on the field to open spring practice Monday afternoon. It marks the first time since head coach Ray Woodard's troops have stepped on the field with a thrilling victory over rival McNeese State to wrap up a 2014 campaign by tying a four-year school record with eight wins.
