Who were the five most recent schools to leave the NAIA that now have NCAA DI athletics? I know schools cannot go straight from NAIA to DI, and are often stuck in DII for a lengthy period of time before they can choose to move up.

Using Wikipedia, here's a list of former NAIA members now in D-I that I could find:

-Arkansas State
-Arkansas - Little Rock
-Arkansas - Pine Bluff
-Belmont
-Central Arkansas
-Chicago State
-Eastern Kentucky
-Houston Baptist
-Illinois - Chicago
-Lipscomb
-Louisville
-Morehead State
-Western Kentucky
-Wichita State

It's in alphabetical order, and in no way do I think it's complete.

I believe both Wofford and Elon made that jump.

Birmingham-Southern College went straight from NAIA to DI back in the 1990s. They have since dropped down to DIII after they started having financial problems.

This seems like the perfect opportunity for MSU fans to tell us about their NAIA national title from the 50s. :)
