Good luck against the Gophers! It would be great to have some FCS schools in Iowa City on February 21. I don't think we have ever met you guys on the mats, yet. Need to make it happen.

BTW, do you go to Nationals? In St. Louis this year.

Me personally? I don't think I will make it this year anyway. I know the Bison should have a few guys that will compete down there.

We have decent shot at sending 7 and with a few breaks, could send all ten. Depends on how many qualifiers are allowed in each weight class.

Lehigh handled George Mason tonight while a blizzard hit outside Grace Hall. Inside the Mountain Hawks beat the Patriots 27-9, winning 7 of 10 bouts. Only 'surprise' was a mild upset of Lehigh's Minotti at 157, 4-3. Lehigh advances to Iowa City next Saturday possibly taking on #3 Ohio State.

Confirmed. Lehigh takes on #3 Ohio State at noon in Iowa City. "On paper" Lehigh favored in only two bouts, though a fair number are going to be very competitive. Mountain Hawks will need a couple 'upsets' to pull this off, but it's why they wrestle.

Yeah, I don't see much hope in this one. Let's just get ourselves ready for the upcoming tournaments and see how well we can do.

Hey, we pulled one out! On to the Semis. We clearly had more wrestlers who were better than their OSU opponents, but the ones who were worse, were a lot worse.

What a great win over the Buckeyes!! Unfortunately, lost to #2 Missouri, but we get another shot at #6 Cornell tomorrow. Would love to knock those guys off. The rematch of Realbuto/Minotti at 157 should be a good one!

Congrats to NDSU to winning the penultimate or ultimate Western Wrestling Conference duals championship in a close 19-13 win over SDSU.

Rumor (having been blogged by Argus Leader and SDSU knowledgeable insiders) is that the WWC will merge with the remaining B12 wrestling schools to become the reinvigorated Big 12 wrestling conference. Never thought that I'd see Oklahoma, Iowa St, SDSU, NDSU in a same conference, but it's coming!
