thanx Cocky. I was aware of Johnson's shoulder problems as he had surgery last year. I was not aware that his knees were also an issue. If he can get it together he will be an asset in Nashville. I always liked Fischer as a coach so I wish the titans the best. :)

Question: why doesn't a player like him end up in Europe? Was it the surgery that kept him out?

From the article, the surgery on his knees kept him out of mini-camp in May and the NFL Europe season is something like February through May, with practices before, so I would imagine there would've been no way he could've played in Europe this year. If he's healthy, and if he hasn't made a big impact with someone by the end of the 2005 NFL season, he could be a candidate for Europe in 2006.

I remember watching him lead the ACC in sacks in 2003 from the stands of Wallace Wade Stadium. It was a shame when he transferred out after that year.

Shawn spent the 2003 season at Delaware. Don't you mean 2002?
