CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami safety Anthony Reddick has been reinstated after serving a four-game suspension for his role in the Hurricanes' sideline-clearing brawl with Florida International last month.
Reddick will travel with Miami (5-5, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) and is expected to play when the Hurricanes visit Virginia (4-6, 3-3). Miami coach Larry Coker announced the reinstatement Thursday.
Reddick swung his helmet and struck at least one FIU player with it during the brawl, which marred Miami's 35-0 win over the Golden Panthers on Oct. 14. In all, 31 players -- 13 from Miami, 18 from FIU -- were sanctioned for their role in the fight.
Miami suspended 12 players for one game apiece; Reddick was the only Hurricanes player who was given an indefinite suspension.
