NDSU fullback Tyler Jangula passed away yesterday after having routine surgery.

Tyler was instrumental for setting the tradition at NDSU in the transition from 2005-2008. Rest in Peace, Tyler. Once a Bison, Always a Bison.

Today, Bison Nation mourns the loss of our own. He was 28, much too young.

Here is a Forum article on who Tyler was.

He exemplified what it meant to be a Bison.

Died at home in his sleep. Blood clots are thought to be the reason.

So sad to hear about this, especially given the sudden and unexpected nature of it with a guy so young. Prayers to his family and loved ones. He was a joy to watch play and his toughness and physicality was a great example of why I've always loved watching local ND kids play for the Bison. RIP Tyler.

Jeez.... what a shame.

Condolences for the entire Bison nation and especially the young man's family.

This is a reminder to us all to tell the people you love that you love them every single day, and seize every single day as a gift from God and live it to its fullest.

Yes- this is a good thing to remember as we go through each day. It might be the last.

Way too young. Way too young.
