The Elon University and Wake Forest University athletic departments have announced that the 2015 season-opening football bout between the two programs will be played on Thursday, Sept. 3 in Winston-Salem, N.C. It will mark the first time in its NCAA Division I tenure that the Phoenix has opened a campaign on a Thursday.
