COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Fans took to the streets after Ohio State's football championship victory early Tuesday, yelling and screaming in delight, setting nearly 90 fires and in the case of a few, tearing down an Ohio Stadium goal post. A few injuries were reported.

Police made a handful of arrests after using tear gas and pepper spray to disperse crowds of Ohio State students and other fans following the Buckeyes' win.

When we first moved to Columbus and were looking for a place to live, we were warned to avoid the "burning couches" neighborhoods.

It's too bad more of them weren't injured.

You should see it when the rest of the room is burning too.

I have never understood the celebration by rioting mentality, but it seems as if there are groups of people who think this is appropriate.

Maybe it's a yankee thing. Southerners just get excessively drunk and shout a lot (burning couches too close to the trailer can lead to homelessness). Even if the trailer doesn't burn, if you don't have a couch, where are you going to sit and drink beer during the NASCAR race.

Apparently to much high octane drink and some bean burritos combined to create those unexpected couch fires xlolx

By the way not one couch was burned in Fargo after the Bison win last Saturday. Go figure. Apparently we don't eat enough bean burritos and drink enough alcohol :D

Or, it's too cold to go outside and riot.

That's where the couch fires come in.
