Score was 0-0 after regulation. Both teams scored in OT.
Lehigh had a 4-3 lead in the shootout going into the last "inning", but missed their kick. Rhody then tied it to send it to "extra innings". Lehigh scored then made the save on Rhody and that was all she wrote!

Wow! The 'worm turns'. Lehigh got edged by Bucknell in the PL championship game on the same penalty kick criteria. I still would prefer to see them keep playing OT periods. Regardless, the win is tremendous. Lehigh had the second best defense in the country this year. I was concerned the long layoff with the bye could effect the sharpness, and maybe it did with the offense. I understand URI had one of the leading offenses this year, so shutting them out is impressive. Way to go ' Hawks!
Starting off a great weekend of Lehigh victories...Let's see how the 'rasslers due against Michigan tomorrow night..on paper they should get blown out, but that seems to be when Strobel really gets the most out of his wrestlers. Came within a hair of knocking the Wolverines off last year in Ann Arbor.

Listening to the game, sounded like Lehigh dominated, but couldn't score. Considering they almost won with the first OT goal, I think I'm happier the way it is :)

That's going to be extremely tough but if you play good defense you usually have a shot

#16 Lehigh lost to the #1 seed Duke at Raleigh-Durham today, 3-0. It was the farthest any Lehigh soccer team had ever advanced in the NCAA's. The Mountainhawks were the first team in Patriot League history to go 7-0. They finished 15-2-3 on the season. Way to go 'Hawks!:hurray:
