Yesterday Diamondbacks righthander Brandon Webb won the NL Cy Young Award. It's the fifth time in eight years that an Arizona hurler has won the award (Randy Johnson won four from 1999 to 2002) and the D-Backs are tied with the Phillies for third most Cy Youngs among NL teams (Only the Dodgers and Braves have more). Which is the only nonexpansion NL team that has never had a Cy Young winner?

No Reds pitcher has won a Cy Young Award. The best finish by Cincinnati pitcher was second place, by Pete Schourek in 1995, Danny Jackson in 1988, Mario Soto in 1983, and Tom Seaver in 1981. (No Rockie or Marlin has a Cy Young Award, either.)
