It's halftime in Charlotte, and Winthrop has a surprising 8-point lead over the Tarheels. I'm going to keep an eye on this one tonight...even though I really don't like the Eagles, I'm impressed by their play so far.

Don't you worry---your 'heels will be ready come tourney time (much as it pains me to say it). Even if they have to lose a couple early on and some ACC matchups, you know sometimes that's gotta happen, they're sickeningly talented.

Unfortunately for you 'ol Roy will have to deal with a number of early departures in the next 1-2 years (some legit, some leaving you scratching your head) meaning you'll have to get the media guide to figure out who is the guy wearing number 1? Not unlike others in the conference, or UNC last year.

That guy Lawson is good but is it me or do the younger fellas palm and carry the ball now? I mean Raftery was gushing about the kids' crossover but he bounced the ball 6 inches over his head and carried it. And what's with that headband? I was surprised that sort of individuality would be tolerated at UNC. Think Dean would've let that happen (serious question)? Maybe Duke where K lets people "create" --well certain people, but I was a bit surprised.
