Congratulations Boston, Massachusetts: the candidate city to host of the 2024 Summer Olympic games. ok, a few dumb questions, where will the stadium be built? will it be a stadium similar to the one in London? and which team will play there after the games are over? cause the patriots and red sox are happy with their stadiums. maybe the Revolution will play there after the games.

They should build a soccer stadium at UNH, and when the Olympics are over convert it to a football field. Only like 50 minutes away from Boston :p oh and any other facilities they felt like funding......

Make this the Bargain Olympics - use as many existing stadiums as possible.

I read an article saying that a lot of these structures just sit and rot, or serve as tourist attractions.

Boblsed tracks and ski jumps usually sit and rot. I think if you look at the Atlanta site either most of them are gone, a tourist trap, or in use. I think I heard that Turner field is now going to go to Georgia Tech or something.

Turner field will be modified for use by Georgia State, primarily by removing most if its seats. In Atlanta's defense, however, Turner Field was designed by be used by the Braves after the Olympics. The Tennis venue has fallen on hard times.
