New AD is Mark Roundtree from Miami, Ohio. Among other things, he played football at Louisiana Tech.

Be interesting to see if he can get the PSU football program righted before it goes completely under. Hopefully they're also done with their contract with that promotional outfit which didn't seem to promote anything at all except revenue for themselves.

I do like it. Having played college football, he knows what the role of the program should be and the role of the university as well. This is a crossroads of sorts for PSU athletics in general, with the uncertainty surrounding the football program, the sudden downfall of women's basketball, and the advancement of the fundraising for the Viking Pavillion, therefore it was imperative for us to get this hire completed quickly. Roundtree spent six years at Oregon State so he knows the area. He also is from a small name school so he knows the challenges that face all of us not in the big DI limelight. Also it is hard to fathom that a former college football player will not do all he can to keep the program alive and not let it go under.

Great assessment and I fully can see all you are saying on the matter. I really hope that PSU football continues to be a going concern for a very long time.
